Our Cigar of the Month is the Arturo Fuente Casa Cuba Doble Seis. The first new brand in the Arturo Fuente catalog in quite a while, it is the first significant release that Carlos (Carlito) Fuente Junior has put together himself in many years.
With an Ecuadorian Havana seed wrapper and a binder and filler of Dominican Cuban seed, the stick features a concealed triple cap and is packed perfectly. It smokes like a dream, with upfront notes of ceder and chocolate and ends with a nice lingering finish of coffee and caramel.
Arturo Fuente Cigars was founded in 1912 and was immediately successful, employing over 500 employees by the early 1920s. However a factory fire decimated the business and put it on hiatus, until after World War II when Arturo started up again, literally rolling cigars on his back porch in Ybor City, Florida. Since then Arturo Fuente has become one of the premier vendors in the world; it is led by Arturo’s grandson Carlito Fuente Jr., and we are proud to feature their products.
